The HSI concluded the midday up 26 points or 0.1% at 26,775. The HSCEI fell 7 points or less than 0.1% to 9,153. The HSTECH dropped 75 points or 1.3% to 5,722. The total half-day market turnover amounted to HKD151.051 billion. Hong Kong developers staged a rally. SHK PPT (00016.HK) and HANG LUNG PPT (00101.HK) rose 4.8% and 3.8%. NEW WORLD DEV (00017.HK) and CK ASSET (01113.HK) hiked 2.5% and 3%. CKH HOLDINGS (00001.HK) swelled 4% to HKD65.3. It is said to be planning to advance its port sale by splitting the deal into separate parcels with different ownership structures. Gold and silver stocks were in demand as spot gold surpassed USD5,000 and silver ascended to USD105. CHI SILVER GP (00815.HK) spiked 11.8%. CHINAGOLDINTL (02099.HK) leaped 7.3%. SD GOLD (01787.HK) and LINGBAO GOLD (03330.HK) jumped 3.8%. ZHAOJIN MINING (01818.HK) gained 2.5%. ZIJIN MINING (02899.HK) advanced 5% as its Julong Copper Mine Phase II commenced production. With China reported to have in principle approved BABA-W (09988.HK), TENCENT (00700.HK), and ByteDance to purchase Nvidia (NVDA.US) H200 chips, TENCENT added 0.9%, while BABA-W retreated 1.2%. Chip stocks SMIC (00981.HK) and BIREN TECH (06082.HK) also tumbled 3.5%, INNOSCIENCE (02577.HK) and ILUVATAR COREX (09903.HK) dived 4.4% and 5.5%. HUA HONG SEMI (01347.HK) edged 0.5% lower. Among other tech stocks, KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK) and BIDU-SW (09888.HK) went down 3.6% and 4.1%. MEITUAN-W (03690.HK) inched 0.9% lower. NTES-S (09999.HK) and JD-SW (09618.HK) ticked up 0.5% and 1.4%. MEITU (01357.HK), BILIBILI-W (09626.HK), and KINGDEE INT'L (00268.HK) dropped 3-3.1%. WEIMOB INC (02013.HK) and TME-SW (01698.HK) rocketed 5.1% and 7.6%. KINGSOFT CLOUD (03896.HK) soared 6.8%. Consumer stocks LI NING (02331.HK), YIHAI INTL (01579.HK), and TINGYI (00322.HK) shed 3.5-4.6%. POP MART (09992.HK) opened 4.3% higher but ended the midday up only 0.1%.
