The Japanese yen's exchange rate further escalated in the Asian morning session today (26th), with the USD/JPY once falling below 154, bottoming at 153.95. USD/JPY last posted at 154.01, down about 1%.

The US dollar shrank against all major currencies due to a price enquiry by the New York Federal Reserve last Friday (23rd), sparking market speculation that the US may assist Japan in boosting the yen, Bloomberg reported.
