The HSI inched up 158 points or 0.6% to 25,156 at midday. The HSCEI gained 60 points or 0.7% to 8,977. The HSTECH lifted 31 points or 0.6% to 5,675. Total half-day turnover of the market amounted to $184.069 billion.

SENSETIME-W (00020.HK) narrowed its 1H25 adjusted net loss to RMB1.16 billion, and its stock price ebbed 0.5%. Telecom equipment stock ZTE (00763.HK)'s interim net profit decreased 12%, and its share price eroded 7.9%.

For automakers, BYD COMPANY (01211.HK) climbed 2.6%. LI AUTO-W (02015.HK)'s 1H25 non-GAAP net profit declined 11%, with Li i6 to be released next month, and its share price leaped 4.4%. Battery stock CATL (03750.HK) elevated 7.1%.

Stablecoin concept stocks were speculated again, with ZA ONLINE (06060.HK) mounting 3.2%. GUOTAI JUNAN I (01788.HK) soared 15.3%, with half-day turnover being $5.1 billion, after the Company announced crypto trading services in Hong Kong.

Pharmas saw renewed speculation. REMEGEN (09995.HK) spiked 13.3%, while INNOVENT BIO (01801.HK), WUXI BIO (02269.HK), CSPC PHARMA (01093.HK) and SINO BIOPHARM (01177.HK) mushroomed over 6%. LUYE PHARMA (02186.HK), BEIGENE (06160.HK), WUXI APPTEC (02359.HK) and CANSINOBIO (06185.HK) hyped up 3.9-5.1%. HBM HOLDINGS-B (02142.HK) planned to raise a net amount of $512 million through share placement at 9.5% discount. The stock rocketed 13.5%, with half-day turnover nearing $300 million.
