NVIDIA (NVDA.US) CEO Jensen Huang stated in an interview with CNN that NVIDIA will no longer include the Chinese market in its revenue and profit forecasts, given strict U.S. trade restrictions on chip sales to China. He did not expect the U.S. to lift export controls to China and informed all investors and shareholders that future forecasts will exclude the Chinese market. However, if the U.S. lifts the export restrictions, it will be a welcome surprise. He reiterated his criticism of the U.S. chip export restrictions, pointing out that the goals of the export controls have not been achieved and emphasized the need for clear articulation of all export control objectives and their evaluation over time.
