The HSI ebbed 43 points or 0.2% to close at 21,814. The HSCEI slid 55 points or 0.7% to 8,002. The HSTECH dropped 45 points or 0.9% to close at 5,235. Total market turnover for the day rose to $379.448 billion, an over-4-month high. Some techs ascended. BIDU-SW (09888.HK), KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK) and BILIBILI-W (09626.HK) advanced 5.6-6.3% each. NTES-S (09999.HK) and JD-SW (09618.HK) faded 1.6% and 2.9%, while ALI HEALTH (00241.HK) leaped 3.9%. AAC TECH (02018.HK) stumbled 4.8%. For financials, PRU (02378.HK) swelled 7.2% as it is evaluating a potential listing of ICICI Prudential, and the market is looking forward to the net proceeds that would be returned to shareholders. Its peer AIA (01299.HK) mushroomed 5.4%, while HSBC HOLDINGS (00005.HK) added 0.5%.
