G Sachs Chief Economist Expects Trump to Slap ~20% Extra Tariffs on Most CN Goods on Avg. Only

Even though U.S. President-elect Donald Trump has threatened to raise tariffs on all Chinese goods by 60%, Trump is expected to raise tariffs on the vast majority of Chinese goods by an average of about 20%, commented Goldman Sachs chief economist Jan Hatzius at an event at the Atlantic Council, a U.S. think tank.

Hatzius added that a small number of capital goods, such as solar panels, steel and aluminum, may be subject to a 60% tariff hike.
