The Public Security Police Force of Macau announced that a total of 2.989 million passenger traffic was recorded through various ports during China's 5-day May Day Golden Week holiday (1-5 May), and visitors accounted for 1.237 million, according to Radio Macau (TMD). Of which, 604,000 were inbound travelers, who travel to Macau mainly through the border gate, followed by the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macao Bridge (HZMB) and Hengqin Port. The average daily passenger volume during of the May Day holiday is expected to meet the government's expectations, with an average hotel occupancy rate of 80-90% and stable room prices, according to a report from the Macau tourism industry.
